PARTNERSHIP DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

 

JOB SUMMARY

 

The Partnership Development Manager will build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with workplace partners through information sharing, consulting, and connecting, to cultivate awareness and engagement in the workplace. This role works in partnership with volunteers to develop and implement workplace campaign giving strategies that are based on industry best practices, market research and data analysis. Additionally, the Partnership Development Manager works to educate current and potential donors about issues facing our community, in order to drive campaign results.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Work in partnership with the Director, Campaign and Partnership Development and other members of the campaign team to develop and implement divisional plans that align with the organization’s overall strategic framework
  • Partner with workplaces in specific sectors to develop and implement annual campaign giving initiatives based on industry best practices that integrate and coordinate innovative approaches to fundraising
  • Work collaboratively with volunteers to maintain workplace partnerships and foster long term meaningful relationships.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of relationships in the community with donors and organizations through information sharing, consulting, and connecting, to support and potentially develop future partnerships
  • Manage the development and promotion of United Way Winnipeg’s annual fundraising campaign which includes research, evaluation, analysis, and reporting of past fundraising results, environmental information, and trends to establish outcomes and design strategies
  • Collaborate with United Way Winnipeg’s:
    • Marketing department, to develop and implement products to establish and deepen relationships with donor and non-donor segments within the workplace divisions
    • Finance & Internal Services department, to ensure that timely and accurate information is captured and retained within CRM and donation processing systems
    • Community Investment and Capacity Building department, to learn about community priorities and needs
  • Lead and support a team of Sponsored Campaign Associates during the campaign, ensuring that key performance objectives are achieved

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

 

You possess the following qualifications or an equivalent combination of education and related experience:         

  • Three to five years relationship management experience and a demonstrated track record of success
  • Experience working with volunteers and building strong relationships
  • Account planning, customization, and management experience
  • Demonstrated success in a sales-focused role is considered an asset
  • Experience with CRM software, data analysis, and financial projections
  • Project planning, implementation, monitoring, and assessment capabilities
  • Ability to prioritize and manage a diverse workload with competing deadlines
  • Above average verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable with public speaking
  • Respectful of confidentiality
  • Ability to learn and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage several tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, to take initiative and demonstrate imagination and resourcefulness
  • A degree or diploma in a related field
  • Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) designation is considered an asset
  • Access to a vehicle is required
