Senior Research Assistants are normally graduate students, or University of Winnipeg undergraduate students, employed to assist in the execution and evaluation of research projects in their area of study. The positions may oversee Research Assistants in areas such as the use of proper techniques, analysis, and documentation.
Senior Research Assistants work under the general supervision or direction of more senior researchers or faculty members, and are expected to exercise judgment in prioritizing, planning and organizing their own work within defined parameters.
Position Overview:
I am seeking one Senior Research Assistant to assist with our project on Educational Assistants in Manitoba. The RA will provide support in literature review, data collection, data transcription and initial data analysis, managing data, and other related duties. RA must be able to work independently as well as part of a team with excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills. The RA must be able to work at least 10 hours per week for a minimum of 10 weeks.
Duties:
- Prepare literature reviews.
- Assist in data collection, data entry, analysis and interpretation.
- Perform data/word processing, routine computations, and record keeping.
- Perform routine clerical and administrative duties to support research activities.
- Assist with duties related to the production of articles, publications, reports and presentations.
- Assist in the execution and evaluation of research projects, including literature reviews, surveys, focus groups, data integration and analysis.
- Assist in preparing articles, publications, reports and presentations.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum masters degree in education or related field.
- Software (Excel, Microsoft word, Transcription software, etc.)
- Methodologies.
Condition(s) of Employment:
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
The period of work will be from November 25, 2024 - February 28, 2025, and the estimated total hours of work will be 60-100 hours.
